EMT ReSave is an opted-in by default, zero-cost post-booking price monitoring add-on for flight bookings made on the EaseMyTrip platform. Once ReSave is activated for a booking, the system continuously monitors the fare of the exact flight itinerary. If a qualifying lower price becomes available, the original booking is automatically cancelled and rebooked at the lower fare.
This service operates entirely within the EMT platform and does not interact with or replace the airline's own price-drop policies. ReSave is offered as a complimentary service to EMT users - no additional fee is charged for activating or using this service.
ReSave is available to all registered users of the EaseMyTrip platform at the time of flight booking. The service must be selected explicitly at checkout and is not active by default. By selecting ReSave during booking confirmation, the Passenger grants EaseMyTrip express and irrevocable authorization to:
Activation of ReSave constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This authorization remains valid until either a qualifying price drop triggers a rebooking, the Passenger manually disables the service, or the booking date arrives - whichever occurs first.
Once ReSave is activated, monitoring continues from the time of activation until 24 hours before the scheduled departure. If no lower price is found during this period, the original booking remains unchanged and persists as the active booking.
Monitoring covers only the identical flight - same route, same date, same airline, and same cabin class as the original booking. Total fares are compared, including base fare, applicable taxes, and mandatory fees. Monitoring frequency is at EMT's discretion and is not guaranteed to be real-time at all times.
EMT does not guarantee detection of every fare drop. Flight prices can change and revert within minutes, and the system may not capture all transient price fluctuations. Passengers who require absolute certainty about a specific price are advised to check manually on the airline's website.
A rebooking is automatically initiated only when the net saving amount meets or exceeds 10% of the original booking value. The net saving is calculated as follows:
For a rebooking to proceed, all of the following conditions must be satisfied simultaneously:
Only the first qualifying price drop triggers an automatic rebooking. Once a rebooking is completed, the ReSave service for that particular booking is automatically deactivated.
When a qualifying price drop is detected, the rebooking proceeds in the following sequence:
If the new booking attempt fails for any reason (the lower fare is no longer available, payment declines, or airline system error), the original booking will not be cancelled and remains the active booking. EMT is not liable for the unavailability of the lower fare.
EMT makes best-effort attempts to replicate seat and meal preferences from the original booking to the new booking. However, exact continuity cannot be guaranteed.
The net saving amount is credited to the Passenger's EMT Wallet within 24 hours of the new booking being confirmed. The airline refund for the cancelled original booking is processed by the airline directly; once received, it is adjusted against the new booking charge. Any surplus amount is also credited to the EMT Wallet.
Airline refunds can take 5-21 business days depending on the airline and the payment method. EMT credits the wallet based on the calculated saving upfront; the actual airline refund is reconciled once it is received.
All EMT Wallet credits are subject to EMT's standard Wallet Terms and Conditions, including usage policies, expiry dates (where applicable), and applicable restrictions. Wallet credits cannot be transferred to a bank account or original payment method unless otherwise specified in EMT's Wallet policy.
ReSave will not trigger and is not applicable in the following situations:
EMT's liability under ReSave is strictly limited to the execution of the rebooking process as described in these Terms. EMT does not guarantee any specific saving amount, the occurrence of a price drop, or the detection of any particular fare.
EMT is not liable for losses arising from missed fare drops, gaps in monitoring coverage, airline policy changes, payment processing failures, or temporary unavailability of lower fares at the time of the rebooking attempt.
In the event of a technical error resulting in an erroneous cancellation of the original booking, EMT's liability is limited to either reinstating the original booking at the original fare or providing a full refund of the booking amount to the EMT Wallet.
EMT reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the ReSave service at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of ReSave after such notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
EMT may also terminate access to ReSave if misuse, fraudulent activity, or violation of these Terms is detected, without prior notice.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the ReSave service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
For questions, grievances, or support related to EMT ReSave, please contact the customer support team at Care@easemytrip.com or through the Help section in the EMT mobile application.
For any violation of these Terms or to lodge a formal complaint, the issue may also be escalated through the EMT Grievance Resolution mechanism as provided in the main Terms and Conditions of the EaseMyTrip platform.
By opting into EMT ReSave, the Passenger acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
